Nearby waters include Lake Lauderdale – off Route 22, in Cambridge – where Washington County maintains a park. The lake has largemouth and smallmouth bass as well as perch and pickerel.
If you want to fish through the ice this weekend, you’ll likely have to travel north, where there was still 30 inches of ice, as of March 28, in most Iron, Price, Oneida, Forest and Vilas county lakes.
Several reports of nice largemouths – and even some hybrid striped bass – being pulled out of the Will County cooling lake were made throughout the month of March.
